The LLM’s and IIIrd year students of NLSIU recently got a unique opportunity. They were made a part of a structured survey by way of a questionnaire conducted by Prof. Ronald Hall, Manchester State University. With more than 40 questions on how we perceive people with different skin tone, it was an eye opener for all as it brought to light the many biases inherent in every one of us. The survey was a part of a bigger project undertaken by him to cover the opinion from various countries on the issue of colourism. He has been working on the same for the last 15 years and plans to cover other south Asian countries like Japan and China in the future. The NLSIU students wish him luck for his future endeavour!
