NLS conducted a felicitation ceremony on the 25th of October for 5 of its alumni members- Dayan Krishnan, Akshay Bhan, Sajan Poovayya, Aditya Sondhi and Shashi Kiran Shetty-who have been designated as senior counsel recently. They are some of the best litigators the college has produced and the Supreme Court has duly acknowledged this fact by designating them as senior counsel. They have been associated with landmark cases such as Ram Singh v State (“Nirbhaya” case), Suresh Kalmadi v CBI, cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s case, Mahesh Bhupathi’s case etc. The felicitation ceremony was followed by an interactive session with the student body and faculty.
