On 18-03-2015, Lok Sabha passed the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2014. The objective of the Bill is to repeal the enactments which have ceased to be in force or have become obsolete or the retention whereof as separate Acts is unnecessary OR correct/ amend the formal defects detected in the enactments.
The Bill wholly repeals the following 36 enactments:

The Bill amends the following enactments:
- Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013
- In the proviso to Section 1(3) of the said Act, for the words “the notification”, the words “the said notification” shall be substituted.
- Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2011
- In the Section 1(1); of the said Act, for the figures “2011”, the figures “2014” shall be substituted, and
- in the Enacting Formula, for the words “Sixty-second Year”, the words “Sixty-fifth Year” shall be substituted.
