On 08.06.2015, Shri Sudhir Bhargava, retired Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, was appointed as the Information Commissioner in the Central Information Commission (CIC), New Delhi for a term of five years from the date on which he will take charge upon his office or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
