On 03.06.2015, the Central Government on the satisfaction that the public interest so requires declared the services in ‘Iron and Steel Industry’ which is covered by item 7 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947) to be a Public Utility Service in pursuance of the provisions of Section 2 (n)(vi)of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947).
