The Kerala Law Academy Law College in association with Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR) conducted two days National Seminar on Secularism in India: Challenges and Prospects at Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer Memorial Hall, Kerala Law Academy Campus. The Seminar was inaugurated by Shri. N. Revi, Hon’ble Judge, Family Court. Dr. N.K Jayakumar, ICSSR Fellow and former Vice Chancellor, NUALS gave the presidential address. The Seminar was conducted on four sessions covering various aspects of secularism. Dr. K.C. Sunny (Dean, Department of Law, University of Kerala), Prof. Dr. Suresh V. Nadagoudar (Principal & Dean, Faculty of Law, P.G. Department of Studies & Research in Law and University Law College, Bangalore University), Dr. Sandeepa Bhatt (NUJS), Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan (Hon. Director, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chair Centre for Human Rights & Social Justice, University of Kerala), Dr. K.R. Regunathan, (Principal, Govt. Law College, Trivandrum) and Shri. Nagraj Narayanan (Advocate, High Court of Kerala) were amoung the dignitaries presented in the Seminar. Valedictory address of the two days long event was delivered by Dr. D. Babu Paul, Former Addl. Chief Secretary, Government of Kerala.
