The CNLU Debating Society, in association with the Academic and Debating Committee CNLU, invites for 8th edition of the CNLU National Parliamentary Debate which is being held from 16th September to 18th September, 2016.
After playing a successful host for the first seven editions, we promise to give to you a grand event – a gala that will not only test your debating skill but will also make your visit to Patna worth remembering. CNLU is one National Law University that takes debating seriously and we promise to give to you a tournament with some crazy motions and immense competition.
The 8th CNLU National Parliamentary Debate will follow the 3-ON-3 ASIAN PARLIAMENTARY debating format while the (N=1) rule will be followed for the adjudicators, i.e., each team must be accompanied by one adjudicator. This being an OPEN TOURNAMENT, people from all across the country are welcome not only as debaters but also as adjudicators. This is being done in order to provide you with the best possible competitors as well as meticulous judges in the tournament.
The Registration Fee, which has been decided as INR 1600 for each member participating as a debater/adjudicator, includes accommodation and fooding for all three days and some added perks as well, of which we will let you know in due course. We promise you a memorable break-night party.
We shall soon release a detailed event brochure that will give you all the information regarding the registration process, the adjudication core and rules of the Parliamentary Debate. The last date of Registration for the event is 28th August, 2016. You can register your slots and direct your queries by writing mail at debsoc.cnlu@gmail.com or contact the committee members at
