The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 222 of the Constitution of India, read with article 222 (I A) of the Constitution (Application to Jammu & Kashmir) Order, 1954, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, appointed Justice Alok Aradhe, Judge, Madhya Pradesh High Court as the Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court and directed him to assume charge of his office in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court on or before 23rd September, 2016.
