DRAFT NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th September , 2016
G.S.R. 915(E).—The following draft of the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Rules, 2016, further to amend the Payment of Bonus Rules, 1975, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 38 of the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 (21 of 1965), is hereby published, as required by sub-section (1) of the said Section 38, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft of the proposed rules will be taken into consideration after the expiry of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette, in which this notification is published, are made available to the public;
The objections or suggestions shall be addressed to the Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi – 110 001;
Objections or suggestions, which may be received from any person or organisation with respect to the said draft rules within the aforesaid period, will be considered by Central Government.
DRAFT RULES
1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Rules, 2016.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Payment of Bonus Rules, 1975, in Rule 5, in sub-rule (1), the proviso shall be omitted.
