The Kerala Law Academy Law College conducted the National Seminar on Anti-Terrorism Laws and Human Security on 3rd of October, 2016 in the College campus at Peroorkada, Trivandrum. The session was organized in collaboration with the Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR, the research wing of the Kerala Law Academy Law College).
“Law is a strong instrument to combat terrorism along with other means. National security of a nation is linked with the strength of its armed forces and legal framework. No country in the world is successful in dealing with this issue. The budding law students must understand and analyze the issue in detail and help frame laws to end the issue” said Shri Hemachandran IPS (Director General, Fire and Rescue Services, Kerala) while inaugurating the one day national seminar. Prof. (Dr.) A. David Ambrose (Professor & Head, Dept. of Legal Studies, University of Madras), Dr. Bismi Gopalakrishnan (Associate Professor & Head, Department of Law, University of Kerala) were also present on the occasion. A large of number of students from different universities across Kerala participated in the event. The day also witnessed more than 25 papers being presented on various important topics relevant to the issue.
