Chanakya National Law University has won the Purvattor Samvaad-NLUAJA Assam 1st National Parliamentary Debate 2017. Purvottar Samvaad is the National Asian Parliamentary Debate organised by National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam which was held from 21st to 23rd April, 2017 in Guwahati. The tournament saw around 20 teams participating from various institutions and universities of the country.
A total of four teams from Chanakya National Law University participated in the tournament. Two out of these four teams were in the final rounds of the tournament.
Aman Naqvi (IInd year) Ishan Mukerji (Ist year) and Somit Kumar Singh (IIIrd year) were adjudged as the winners and also won Rs 25000 as cash price.
Ganesh Khanna (IVth year), Vaibhav Shukla and Akash Singh (both from IInd year) were the runner’s up and won Rs 15000 as prize money. The Best Speaker for side proposition and a cash price of Rs 5000 was awarded to Ishan Mukerji.
