The President in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, appointed Shri Justice Surinder Singh Saron, senior-most Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court with effect from 21st August, 2017 to 29th August, 2017 (both days inclusive) during the absence of Shri Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court, on leave.
