National Law University Odisha is hosting the 5th edition of the National Law University Odisha International Maritime Arbitration Moot, 2018 (NLUO-IMAM). NLUO IMAM holds the distinction of being the first international maritime law moot in India with a special focus on international commercial arbitration, a subject specifically chosen not only to encourage intellectual discourse in this field but also to bring it in harmony with the stature of the state of Odisha, being the hub of maritime activities and operations.
Date: March 30th – April 1st, 2018.

Venue: National Law University Odisha, Cuttack

About the Moot: In this edition, the case study is based on maritime law pertaining to a charter-party dispute. Dealing with the core maritime law issues, this edition provides participants with the opportunity to argue before an arbitral tribunal comprising of leading experts and practitioners in the concerned field of law. This year’s proposition has been drafted by Prof. Proshanto Mukherjee (Prof. Emeritus, WMU / Dalian Law School / Lund Law Faculty) with the assistance of Mr. Pallab Das (Research Associate-cum-Teaching Asst., NLUO).
