Institute of law, Nirma University organized 15TH National Youth Parliament, 2018 on 25th October 2018. Dr. Subhramanian Swami, Member of Rajya Sabha was invited as the Chief Guest at the inaugural. The event was organized by the Institute of Law association with Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Purvi Pokhariyal, Director and Dean, ILNU and the ceremonial address was given by Dr. Anup Singh, Director General, Nirma University. Also, Shri, K.K. Patel, Vice-President, Nirma University was present at this auspicious occasion.
Dr. Swamy began with congratulating the youth for developing the taste in parliament. He further said that the Constitution of India is not British given, rather it is our own culture in much more refined and reformed form, and that the constitution is just like the shastras of the ancient times. Roots of all the modern values lie in our history. He further discussed various issues with a constitutional touch on issues of Sabrimala, Ram Mandir and Hindi as language of country. He also made clear that India remains united as one and ended his address by congratulating ILNU for the such good initiatives.
