Anomaly in the answer key in Hindi vis-a-vis English to be considered by expert committee of the school board

Himachal Pradesh High Court: A Division Bench comprising of Surya Kant, CJ and Ajay Mohan Goel, J. allowed the petitioner to appear one more time before the committee for his grievances.

The petitioner’s counsel Ajay Shandil had stated that the petitioner appeared in the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) of Arts conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala the result of which has been declared. It was claimed that he had answered the question number 4 correctly but as there was an anomaly in answer key in Hindi vis-a-vis English medium, his answer was evaluated incorrectly depriving him his due marks.

The Court here stated that such like issues were to be examined by an Expert Committee constituted by the Board and it was their discretion to consider the representations against the answer key and the petitioner anyway has made his representation therebefore. Nonetheless, the court granted one more opportunity to the petitioner to appear before the said committee and state his grievances. Accordingly, the petition was disposed of.[Manoj Sharma v.
