About the University:

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab was established by an enactment of the State Legislature of Punjab (Act No. 12 of 2006).
The University saw light of the day in a Heritage building, situated in the heart of the town, known as Mohindra Kothi. This complex incidentally was also a court complex during the erstwhile rulers of Patiala.

The university was relocated in the present campus, in the back drop of lush green fields; which is a sprawling 50 acres; and is a zenith in architectural and technological innovation and vision, conforming to the twenty first century academic requirements of a professional institute.

Not only the infrastructure, the university in the last twelve years has created a niche amongst the top institutes, leave alone the law schools. It has been successful in imparting the best legal education and developing the overall personality of the students.
