About the program:
Research is a quest to gain knowledge. Legal Research is a type of research in which research is undertaken as a part of the process of law reform, it is undertaken with a definite end namely making suggestions for improvements in the law on concrete and easily identifiable matters and the formulation of those proposals in precise terms. Legal Research is one of the aspects of the study of human behaviour, their interactions and attitudes pertaining to any law.
This is a workshop on Empirical Legal Research: SPSS Application and Data Analysis, which would help the researcher from Law background. By this workshop, the researchers will learn the concept of mean, median, mode, central tendency, frequency, class interval, and many other statistical tools for the purpose of data analysis. By the end of this workshop, the researcher would know the use of different statistical tools, application of chi-square, t-test, etc, different ways of data presentation and tabulation. Moreover, this workshop will help the researcher learn the effects of any variable and interaction effect between variables as established by using ONEWAY – ANOVA, FACTOR Analysis and REGRESSION Analysis.
The participants will be provided certificates on successful completion of the Workshop. It is mandatory for all participants to attend all the classes/sessions.

The number of seats for the two days is restricted to thirty (30) candidates from Law discipline, Faculty members or Research Scholars pursuing their M. Phil, Ph.D. of Law, having orientation in research methodology and statistics are eligible for this programme.
Registration and Fee:
The applicants need to send the duly filled scanned copy of the application to the mentioned email id: kdanyal@jmi.ac.in by February 28, 2019. Besides this, the applicants are requested to pay Rupees Two Thousand (2000) as registration fee in cash on March 16, 2019, at the time of Registration, failing which the candidature would not be considered. The registration fee includes workshop kit, session, refreshment, and lunch.
