About Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan:
Abdul Ghaffar Khan, was born in 1890 at Utmanzai, India and died on January 20th, 1988, Peshawar, Pakistan, the foremost 20th-century leader of the Pashtunswho became a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and was called the “Frontier Gandhi” because of his outstanding freedom fighting struggles and promotion of non-violence.
About the Lecture:
The lecture will be chaired by Prof. Salil Mishra (Historian and PVC; Ambedkar University, Delhi) and Prof. Zoya Hasan (Professor Emeritus, Jawaharlal Nehru University & Distinguished Professor; Council for Social Development; Delhi) will be dealing with the topic Democracy State and Welfare Under UPA & NDA: A Regime Effect.
