The team consisting of Mohith Shivkumar, Kajal Singh and Tarun Agarwal, who represented Institute of Law, Nirma University in the 8th IBBI NLIU Corporate Moot Court Competition have been declared as the RUNNERS UP for the competition.
The Moot Problem dealt with Issues pertaining to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, NBFC-P2P lending, core issues of Oppression and Mismanagement pertaining to various technical issues of securities law. It was a highly technical moot having no precedents whatsoever.
The team faced RMNLU and Christ in their prelims and competed against Symbiosis Noida in the quarter-finals. Thereafter, the team faced OP Jindal in the semi-final rounds. They were lauded by the judges, especially for their court mannerisms and the quality of their research.
