GNLU ADR Cell in association with Bridge Policy Think Tank and the Centre for Mediation and Conciliation, Bombay Chamber of Commerce will be organizing a certificate course on mediation and negotiation on February 1-2, 2020. The 2-day course will provide students an opportunity to explore the domain of mediation and negotiation and its efficient utilization. The course focuses on developing an outlook towards the resolution of disputes through an interdisciplinary approach.

Mr. Anuroop Omkar
Mr. Omkar is a practising commercial lawyer based in New Delhi. Post his graduation from Gujarat National Law University in 2012, he underwent rigorous training and evaluation for mediation in the USA, Europe and from the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC). Mr. Omkar finds his mention in almost every panel pertaining to mediation in India. He is empanelled as a Mediator with the World Bank, Office of the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) of the International Financial Corporation (IFC) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA); NCLT and NCLAT under the Companies Act, 2013; ICADR, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India; Delhi Dispute Resolution Society of the Ministry of Law and Justice; Centre for Mediation and Conciliation of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry among others. He has conducted various commercial transactions including Private Equity, Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and carried out more than 600 mediations covering various topics. He is also the co-author along with Ms. Kritika Krishnamurthy of ‘The Art of Negotiation and Mediation – Wishbone, Funny bone & a Backbone’ published by LexisNexis.
Mr. Siddharth Jha
Mr. Jha is currently working with the Centre for Mediation and Conciliation (CMC) under the aegis of Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He handles case administration, advocacy with business development and policy making at the centre. Previously, he was a practising lawyer and has experience in dealing with Commercial and Civil Disputes (Domestic and Cross-Border) along with other activities such as Litigation/ADR Management and Pre-litigation Advisory and Documentation pertaining to matters before the High Court of Gujarat. Mr. Jha is a professionally trained cross-culture mediator and negotiator and has attained his Masters in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law, California.
Ms. Aditi Jha
Aditi is an alumnus of Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. She is involved with various policy research initiatives in and around the space of mediation and related training programmes including 360 Degree School on Conflict Resolution by Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs. She regularly assists trained mediators Mr. Anuroop Omkar and Mrs. Kritika Krishnamurthy with structural research pertaining to private, commercial and community mediations. Presently, she is assisting the authors with the 2nd edition of their best-seller ‘The Art of Negotiation and Mediation – Wishbone, Funny bone & a Backbone’.
