The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee (LAAC) of National Law University, Jodhpur with an objective to fulfil the objective of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, LAAC in 2018 came up with the solution oriented Competition “Mil Kar Karein RTE Ko Sarthak”under which college students of Jodhpur target the children of disadvantaged and weaker section and help them get admitted in various private schools of Jodhpur which are obligated to reserve 25% of the seats under Section 12 (1) (c) of the RTE Act. For the competition’s success LAAC conducts an orientation on how to go about the whole process (targeting students, collection and preparation of documents, filling forms online, etc) and also a review of all the documents before the same is submitted online for each student. LAAC successfullyadmitted more than 250 students through previous two editions of the competition.
