BVDU | Hour of Disaster Challenge

About the Organisation

Bharati Vidyapeeth University’s New Law College, established in 1978, is the premier institute of international excellence in the field of legal education.

About the Competition

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) New Law College, Pune is organising the first of its kind competition for law students in India, The Hour of Disaster Challenge on International Law & Human Rights.

The Format of the competition is based on yet another famous and innovative competition The Day of Crisis. The Day of Crisis competition was founded by Professor Jean-Marc Thouvenin in 2012. It is a unique competition, centred on Public International law and diplomacy, where a major international crisis is simulated, and participants are asked to deal with the events unfolding over the course of several hours.

However, due to the paucity of time and other constraints, the format of the competition has slightly been customized to better suit the existing framework.
