COVID 19 | Wearing of masks — compulsory in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh & Delhi

As reported by several media reports, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)had issued a circular with regard to wearing of face masks mandatory while moving out in public places.

If a person will be found violating the same, person will be prosecuted under Section 188 of Penal code, 1860.

Circular specified that people must wear 3 ply mask or cloth mask.

After Maharashtra, State of Uttar Pradesh also made the wearing of masks a mandatory thing and not following the same would cause penal action against the person found violating it.

Delhi’s Chief Minister while stating that wearing of masks is being compulsory said that the same can reduce the spread of Corona virus.

The above action s are being taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 as the same have been increasing.
