The aim of the webinar is to help parents and students understand the career opportunities in corporate law firms in India and how the legal profession has evolved over time. We also aim to provide clarity on how a law aspirant can seek out internships and fellowships at law firms. We have seen a surge in the number of students who are interested in pursuing careers in law and place great value in working at corporate law firms.

Bio of all Panellists:
- Mr. Vikramaditya Khanna :
Vikramaditya S. Khanna, a William W. Cook Professor of Law, is faculty co-director of the Joint Centre for Global Corporate and Financial Law and Policy, a collaboration between Michigan Law and India’s Jindal Global Law School. He earned his SJD at Harvard Law School and was the Bruce W. Nichols Visiting Professor of Law in fall 2013 at Harvard Law School. He also was a senior research fellow at Columbia Law School and Yale Law School, and a visiting scholar at Stanford Law School. His interest areas include corporate and securities laws, law and legal issues in India, corporate and white collar crime, legal profession and professional responsibility, corporate governance in emerging markets, and law and economics.
2. Dr. Ananth Padmanabhan:
Dr. Ananth Padmanabhan currently serves as Dean, Academic Affairs at Sai University and is one of the chief architects behind Daksha Fellowship, India’s first fellowship for lawyers in the area of law, technology, policy and business. His research interests are in the fields of technology policy, intellectual property rights, and innovation scholarship
3. Mr. Abhishek Dubey:
Abhishek is a transactional lawyer and has more than 12 years of experience in advising on M&A, Private Equity and General Corporate matters. He is a Principal Associate with one of India’s largest and most reputed law firms – Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. In 2018, he won the coveted “corporate law scholarship” from the International Bar Association.
4. Mr. Saumil Nigam:
Mr. Saumil Nigam is a law graduate from Alliance School of Law, Alliance University. He completed his B.B.A.LL.B (Hons.) in 2019 and thereafter joined The Federal Bank Ltd. as a Legal Officer.
