The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2021 has come into force on March 28, 2021. It was passed in Lok Sabha on March 19, 2021 and Rajya Sabha on March 22, 2021. The Act amends the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, which regulates the mining sector in India.
