The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued the Methyl Acrylate, Ethyl Acrylate, (Quality Control) Order, 2021 and Vinyl Acetate Monomer (Quality Control) Order, 2021 vide notification dated December 22, 2021.
Vinyl Acetate Monomer, Methyl Acrylate, Ethyl Acrylate, shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority. This shall not apply to such goods or article meant for export.
The orders shall come into force on May 30, 2022.
