NUALS wins the 14th NUJS-HSF Corporate Law Moot, 2022
Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in association with the WB National University of Judicial Sciences (NUJS) conducted the fourteenth edition of the NUJS-HSF National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition (NUJS HSF Moot). The NUJS HSF Moot took place on the 12th and 13th of March 2022 in an online setting. The moot problem was based on contemporary issues in corporate and environmental law dealing with the validity of requisitions and class action suits in India and saw participation from many Indian universities. Chris Parsons (Partner and Chairman of the HSF India Group) and Tomas Furlong (Partner of the HSF India and Singapore group) were among the judges for the final rounds of the moot court competition. This year’s moot problem was drafted by Dr Umakanth Varottil, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore.
The team comprising Anagha Ramdass, Elizabeth Cherian, and Meenakshi Gopakumar, from the second year, representing the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi emerged as the Winners of India’s largest corporate moot, XIVth NUJS-HSF Corporate Moot, 2022.
RGNUL wins 3rd NLU Jodhpur National Deal Mediation Competition
The third edition of NLU Jodhpur National Deal Mediation Competition was conducted by National Law University, Jodhpur from 4th to 6th March, 2022. The team comprising Chhavi Singla, Wamic Wasim Nargal and Mehvish Alam represented Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law in the competition.
The negotiating team consisting of Wamic Wasim Nargal and Chhavi Singla emerged victorious and was declared as the ‘Best Negotiating Team’. The competition revolved around commercial and business related problems, aimed at imparting an understanding of the practicalities of ‘mediation without a dispute’.
CNLU wins National Rounds of Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition
The team comprising of Nidhi Prakriti, Priyansh Priyadarshi and Kushagra Kundan has been declared winners at the National Rounds of Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition and will be One of the two teams representing India at the world rounds.
Christ University wins 5th Annual Jindal Moot Court Competition, 2022
The team consisting of Rithwick G, Yash Chadha and Joel Jacob has emerged as winners of the 5th Annual Jindal MootCourt Competition, 2022 organized by O.P. Jindal Global University in association with Jindal Initiative on IP and Competition (JIRICO) from 11th-13th March, 2022. The moot proposition was based on Competition Law.
The final round of the competition was judged by Samir R. Gandhi, Senior Partner, AZB & Partners, Parthsarathi Jha, Partner, Economic Laws Practice, Deeksha Manchanda, Partner, Chandhiok and Mahajan and Pranjal Prateek, Partner, Khaitan & Co.
Army Institute of Law, Mohali wins 13th NLUJ Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2021-22
MNLU Mumbai wins ELSA Maynooth International Negotiation Competition 2022
The team comprising Gaurika Jain and Keerti Singh, representing Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai at ELSA Maynooth International Negotiation Competition 2022, was adjudged, Winner. Additionally, Keerti Singh won the award of Best Speaker.
ILS Law College, Pune wins 7th NLIU- Justice RK Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot Court Competition
ILS Law College, Pune Team comprising Namita Pandey, Aditya Shete, Keyur Jaju, and Gautam Garg secured 1st Rank in the 7th NLIU- Justice RK Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot Court Competition 2022.
Aditya Shete was also adjudged as the ‘Best Oralist’ and will receive an internship opportunity from Allen & Gledhill. Team ILS was awarded with a sum of ‘INR One Lakh Fifteen Thousand Rupees’ and internship opportunity from L&L Partners.
