WORLD TRIBAL DAY- 9thAugust, 2022
August 9th is celebrated as World Tribal Day around the World each year. It is observed to promote and protect the rights of the World’s Indigenous Population. To celebrate and commemorate the occasion of World Tribal Day The Legal Social Services Committee under the able guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, HNLU Prof. Dr. V.C. Vivekanandan and the Registrar, HNLU, Dr. Uday Shankar Organised a Sketching/Painting and Essay writing Competition, this was a small step towards spreading knowledge about the tribals and their contribution to various social, political aspects, scientific development and to their contribution towards society through their traditional knowledge and art of preserving indigenous ancient knowledge.
This year the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples worked towards fulfilling the words of Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who said the “Younger generation should be acquainted with our History, Culture & Heritage”, The Students of HNLU, Nava Raipur Contributed their best to make the programme a success by participating wholesomely in the programme organised by the Legal Social Services Committee.
The Legal Social Services Committee believes that ‘A small step towards something big is the biggest step towards it’. Below are the glimpses of the works of the Students of HNLU: –
