The Centre for Law, Justice and Development, National Law University Delhi in collaboration with Department of Justice, Government of India is working on a Legal Literacy and Legal Awareness programme under the scheme ‘Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice in India’ (DISHA). To this end, CLJD invites the submission of posters/ artistic expressions contributing towards raising legal awareness with regard to different forms of Violence against women. We invite students, scholars and professionals (of any age group) from any discipline/field to submit posters capturing the essence of women’s rights and Violence against women. The entries should seek to encapsulate and disseminate knowledge on laws and legal rights of women aggrieved by different forms of Violence.
About Centre for Law, Justice and Development (CLJD):
Established in 2018, CLJD envisions revisiting, analysing, and engaging with the development discourse and its interface with the legal discourse. Through this engagement it seeks to influence the discourse in ways that are geared towards securing justice in varied arenas of our existence. It has been specifically working on the rights of the marginalised through empirical research, training, and creating resource material with regard to legal rights.
Objective of the Competition:
The call opens up an opportunity to share your Vision and raise awareness about violence against women, women’s legal rights, and access to justice for women. The goal is to disseminate legal awareness for creating gender sensitisation at the grass-root level. In pursuance of fulfilling these goals the centre has adopted an intersectional approach. Therefore, we seek entries that are inclusive and conscious of intersectional identities.

Students, scholars, and professionals (of any age group) from any field interested in participating may make a poster
Specifications
- Size of the Poster/ Artistic expression – A3
- It may be in the form of poster, painting, narrative strip or any other similar expression on paper. Additionally, could also be in a digital form (excluding audio- visual content) in high resolution.
Timeline for poster submissions:
Last date for submission of entries -10th October 2022 (11:59 pm IST)

The submission can be made either online or by post.

Selection Process:
Posters received in the competition shall be judged by a panel of 3 judges belonging to the fields of Arts, Social Sciences and Law.
Awards:
1st prize: 5000 INR
2nd prize: 3000 INR
3rd prize: 2000 INR
