NUALS, Kochi in association with the Center for Law and Economics, is organizing the Xth edition of Altus Disputatio on the 10th, 11th and 12th March 2023.
About the University
Situated in Kochi, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) is the first and only National Law University in the State of Kerala and one of the 24 NLUs in India. One of the top universities in Kerala, the university was established by Act 27 of 2005 of the Kerala State Legislature.
What is Altus?
The hip new style of debating in town, Altus Disputatio is an avant-garde debating tournament with a one of a kind ‘Devil's Cross' format patented by NUALS Kochi that makes it distinct from any other form of debate. Unforeseeable in its course of events, the event requires each participant to be extremely vigilant as the gears are constantly being shifted at any given moment.
In this unique form of debate, contestants are expected to use their skill sets to adapt to the fast-moving format, while at the same time trying to outsmart and outwit their opponents. They will be judged on their analytical and reasoning skills as well as their questioning abilities. Participants would not only experience unparalleled competition and the necessary prowess to tackle everyday obstacles, but also stand a chance to secure the prize money worth INR 1,20,000.
