On 24-2-2022, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare notified the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 2023 to amend the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Rules, 2022. The provisions came into force on 24-2-2023.

Rule 19 has been inserted providing Transfer of gametes and embryos for personal use within or outside India. Any person who intends to do so will have to apply or furnish a declaration in Forms 16 to 24 to obtain prior permission of the National Board.

Form 16 has been inserted providing Application form for transfer of gametes (Sperms and oocyte or embryos) within and outside India.

Form 17 has been inserted providing Affidavit for transfer of embryos outside India.

Form 18 has been inserted providing Affidavit for transfer gametes (sperms/ oocyte) outside India.

Form 19 has been inserted providing Affidavit for transfer of embryos within India.

Form 20 has been inserted providing Affidavit for transfer of gametes (sperms/ oocytes) within India.

Form 21 has been inserted providing an Affidavit from the clinic holding the frozen embryos.

Form 22 has been inserted providing an Affidavit from clinic holding gametes (Sperms/ oocytes).

Form 23 has been inserted providing an Affidavit from clinic receiving the frozen embryos.

Form 24 has been inserted providing an Affidavit from clinic receiving the frozen gametes.
