Khaitan & Co advised Knowledge Planet and its promoters (Sachin Bharti Gupta and Monika Oli) on the 100% sale of the Knowledge Planet Group to PhysicsWallah from an Indian law perspective. PhysicsWallah, an ed-tech platform that provides affordable and comprehensive learning experience to students of classes 6 to 12 and those preparing for JEE and NEET exams acquired the Knowledge Planet Group, which is engaged in the business of providing test preparation services to students (through offline and online modes) in K12 segment in United Arab Emirates. The role of the deal team included assisting the client on the structuring of the transaction and drafting, negotiating and finalising the transaction documents from an Indian law perspective and assisting with the closing of the transaction.
The core team consisted of Monika Srivastava (Partner), Sanchit Agarwal (Partner), Srikant C.V. (Principal Associate) and Eklavya Malvai (Senior Associate).
